#3: Masters Pairs, Sacramento, 1987

Your 3
overcall was a bit pushy,
but you felt that partner might be hard-pressed to balance
with his presumed heart length, and the final contract is
reasonable.
The
K is led; east overtakes and tries
the heart queen, which you ruff high. You cleverly sneak the
jack of spades through. A second spade is taken by west,
who returns his last trump as east discards two hearts.
Winning in dummy, you try a diamond to the eight, ten, and
king. West returns a low diamond (east plays the jack).
Plan the play.
